- Accutane (Isotretinoin): Must be discontinued for at least 1 year before ANY S.P.A. service.
- Discontinue all over-the-counter and prescription retinols 48 hours before treatment.
- Avoid exfoliating acids, enzymes, and facial scrubs for 48 hours before treatment.
- Fever or contagious illness.
- If you have a medical condition or are taking prescription medications, consult your physician before receiving services.
Facial Treatments
(Includes all facials, resurfacing treatments, Fire & Ice, enzyme treatments, and treatments using advanced exfoliation.)
- Broken, inflamed, sunburned, or windburned skin
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Chemotherapy or radiation treatment
- Basal cell carcinoma on the treatment area
- Botox, fillers, or permanent cosmetics within the past 2 weeks
- Waxing or depilatory creams used on the treatment area within the past 2 weeks
- Diabetes
- Autoimmune disorders
- Active herpes outbreak (cold sores)
- Rosacea or extremely sensitive skin
- Medications that cause sun sensitivity
LED Light Therapy
(Includes any facial with LED Light Therapy.)
- Epilepsy or seizure disorders
- Pregnancy
- Open wounds
- Medications that cause light sensitivity
High Frequency Treatments
- Pregnancy
- Pacemaker
- Epilepsy or seizure disorders
- Heart disease
- Broken capillaries
- Rosacea
Liquid Microneedling
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Accutane within the past year
- Active acne infection or open wounds
- Active cold sores (herpes simplex)
- Sunburned, inflamed, or irritated skin
- Recent chemical peel, laser treatment, or aggressive exfoliation
- Active skin infection or rash
- Chemotherapy or radiation treatment
- Autoimmune disorders that impair healing
- History of keloid scarring
- Diabetes (consult your physician)
- Botox or dermal fillers within the past 2 weeks
Waxing
- Accutane within the past year

Infrared Salt Sauna
- Cancer

Dry Heat Sauna
- Multiple sclerosis

- High or low blood pressure

- Conditions that impair sweating

- Alcohol intoxication
- Previous heat stroke (consult before use)
- Consult your physician if taking prescription medications, blood thinners, diuretics, or beta blockers.
- Clients under 18 require parental consent.
Salt Room (Halotherapy)
- Cancer
- Tuberculosis
- Fever
- Contagious illness
- Severe hypertension
- Open wounds
Shrinking Violet Body Wraps
- Pregnancy or nursing
- Less than 12 weeks postpartum (26 weeks following a C-section)
- Recent miscarriage (within 6 months)
- Cancer, chemotherapy, or radiation (within 6 months)
- Recent surgery (within 3 months)
- Varicose veins (wrapping not recommended)
- Diabetes
